Do you or someone you know need extra help understanding how to use a computer? The Library's Computer Help Program has expanded and is now offered Saturday mornings on the Central Library's Third Floor from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm. More than 20 employers will be taking part in a four-day hiring fair event to fill hundreds of jobs resulting from the expansion of retail, dining and entertainment space at the Chinook Centre in Calgary.
Alberta Employment and Immigration (AE&I) is joining with Cadillac Fairview to host the events and connect Albertans to job opportunities on September 9, 10, 14 and 15 in Calgary.
Employers on hand for the fairs include: Le Creuset, Skechers, Godiva Chocolates, Bench, Guess, Pusch, Sunglass Hut, Browns Shoes, Old Navy, Aldo, Spring, Feet First, Starbucks, Forever 21, Kiehl’s, Geox, Group Dynamite, La Senza, Bath and Body Works, Guess by Marciano, Aeropostale, NY Fries, Koodo, bebe and Hollister.
Employers will be looking to fill a variety of positions, including; managers, co-managers, assistant managers, management trainees, sales associates, customer service and administration staff, stock people and café staff. Interested job seekers are asked to bring copies of their resumés and come dressed to impress, as some employers may be conducting interviews on site.
